Beyer Peacock Works No 6841 ('William Francis') is seen out of use at Baddesley Colliery on 16th September 1963. Only three Garratt locomotives were built in the UK for industrial use and the last was this locomotive in 1937. It was used to move coal to the Trent Valley sidings and had to cross the A5 just north of Atherstone. The locomotive was preserved at Bressingham Hall in Norfolk, 22/4/67. ©Hugh Ballantyne/Rail Photoprints
