Crewe Works had a small allocation of locomotives for shunting purposes and while they could be found anywhere within the works complex they were stabled in the open at the Crewer station end of the works between the WCML and the North Wales lines Fowler 3F 0-6-0T's 47384 and 47661 and D2743 (recently arrived from Dunfermline) were on the stabling point in May 1965. ©Brian Robbins/Rail Photoprints
