'Castle' Class 4-6-0 5018 St. Mawes Castle of Reading (81D) shed shortly after arrival at Paddington with a passenger service, probably in the early 1960s, but clearly the days for main line steam at the Great Western's London terminus are numbered. 5018 was withdrawn from service at Reading in March 1964. ©Gordon Edgar Collection/Rail Photoprints
