Green liveried MSJA Class 505 (allocated but not carried) Driving Cars M28572M and M28588M at Altrincham Carriage Sidings, 25/3/69. These 1500V DC 3 coach sets were built by Metropolitan - Cammell for the commencement of Manchester - Altrincham services which commenced operation 0n 11th May 1931, in May 1971 the line was converted to 25KV operation and all of the 505's were replaced by Class 304 units, 25/03/69. ©R.
