WD 70503 was a Stanier 8F built for the WD by North British as no 24711 Built 1941, it is known to have worked extensively in the Middle East in 1954 it was seen being used by the Israel State Railroad for Bridge Testing on the Yarkon River Bridge north of Tel Aviv.
