The GWR's first shunter No 1 in Swindon Stock Shed, built as a Demonstrator by John Fowler & Co, Leeds (JF19451, 1933) it was then sold to the GWR becoming their No 1 but most of its time appears to have been spent inside the 'Stock' shed at Swindon, it was finally withdrawn 3/40 and was then sold to Cohens of Stanningley, Leeds it was then sold onto the Ministry of supply in October 1940 and its final fate is unknown, 29/10/33. ©Rail Photoprints Collection
