3300 Namur 220839 GL09
Armstrong Whitworth built 200 2-8-0 steam locos for Belgianbr/State Railways (Type 37) during the early 1920's, but during the 1930's many of the locos were rebuilt, heavily modified, and redesignated as Type 31. On 22/8/39 In what is believed to be original condition Type 37 No 3300 is serviced at Namur before working a local service to Ramillies. ©George C. Lander/Rail Photoprintsbr/br/Note I have been unable to find much detail about the building and later rebuilding of Class 37 to Class 31, the information gleaned above has been deduced from that found on the web, if anyone can shed more light on the rebuild history of the locos please get in touch.br/br/John
