Fresh out of the paint shop at BREL Crewe Works on 22nd October 1983 was Class 20 20046. Interestingly, it had been withdrawn from service on 28th December 1982, but reinstated on 19th June 1983, benefitting from a full works overhaul, prior to being returned to Tinsley depot serving BR for a further ten years, 22/10/83.
