GWR ‘Castle’ Class No 4073 CAERPHILLY CASTLE is seen at Starcross station with a down local train, on 25 July 1956. This image clearly shows the original style GWR curved sided inside cylinder casing. The steam leak indicates that the engine was only one month away from a heavy overhaul. David Anderson
