O4 2-8-0 63701 at its home shed of Staveley GC, circa 1963.br/This loco was built by R,S amp; H for ROD becoming their 1684 in July 1918, it was purchased by the LNER in July 1925 becoming their No 6498, it was renumbered by the LNER to 3701 in May 1946 becoming 63701 in September 1950, it was allocated to Staveley GC in Feb 1962 where it remained until 13/6/65 when it was re-allocated to Langwith Junction only to be withdrawn 1/8/65 before making the short trip to Drapers Yard in Hull, where it was cut up on 29/11/65. ©Rail Photoprints Collection
