Crew change at Hereford with 47101 heading an empty block oil train for South Wales on 30th March 1984. Built at Brush Falcon Works in Loughborough and introduced into BR service as D1688 on 21st November 1963. Renumbered under the TOPS scheme as 47101 in March 1974. At the time of the photo it was alloacted to Cardiff Canton. Withdrawn from Crewe in March 1989 and disposed of by C.F. Booth of Rotherham in January 1994. ©Gordon Edgar/Railphotoprints.co.uk
