The Swindon Works (Con Yard) dump on 31 October 1983 with (right to left) 46013 (spending its fourth year dumped here and eventually cut up in March 1985) and 40149 (cut up in May 1986). Behind are 08583, 40176, 40154, 40083, 31111 and 25184 all awaiting the cutter's torch, although the class 08 shunter was to be reinstated and survived until 1995.
