'Edward Thomas' gets the once over fron a fledgling enthusiast at Towyn Wharf, 1/7/55. The loco was built by Kerr Stuart for the Corris Railway in 1921 but was OOU in 1948 when the Western Region took over the line which was closed in the August. The two Corris locos remained sheeted over at Corris until the early '50's when they were purchased from BR by the Talyllyn for the princely sum of £25 per loco both were subsequently overhauled by the Hunslet Engine Company before enering service on the Talyllyn, ©George C.
