Innumerable locomotives and rail vehicles of both BR and industrial origin have been disposed of at the Booth Roe's (formerly C.F. Booth) Rotherham scrapyard. Offering a flavour of the diversity of locomotive to be found on visits there during this period, when BR and industrial disposals were jointly at their zenith, the line up by the very useful public access thoroughfare was Enterprise, an 0-6-0 diesel mechanical built by Hudswell Clarke in 1953 (W/No.D810), 47456, 08334 and ex-NCB Shirebrook 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic Hudswell Clarke (W/No.D1344 built in 1965).
