McIntosh designed and built by Beyer Peacock for the Great Northern Railway (I), introduced in 1948 they were the last Class of Steam locos ordered by the GNSRI. The VS Class were 3 cylinder machines built for use a prime power for the 'Enterprise' service between Dublin and Belfast. One of the trains is seen near Skerries, unfortunately the loco number was not recorded, 27/6/56. ©George C. Lander/Rail Photoprints
