TDB968009 (ex-24142) at Reading TMD on 27th April 1981.
Converted to ETS generating unit in 1976 and used on the Western Region. It was initially used at Plymouth before moving onto to Worcester. Subsequently it saw use at Oxford, Reading, Cardiff and Swansea. During the summer of 1982 it moved to Stratford as a source of spares for DB968008. Following removal of spares it was moved to Healey Mills yard from where it was disposed of for scrap. It was scrapped at Coopers Metals, Brightside, Sheffield in 1984. ©Gordon Edgar/Railphotoprints.co.uk
