Nocturne at York shed on 22/10/66, a very battered V2
2-6-2 60831 waits for attention while A4 Pacific 60019 (Bittern), has run its last miles for BR and is in early stages of restoration to pristine preserved condition. The V2 lasted another 6 weeks in service before it was withdrawn on 6/12/66, final disposal came at Drapers Yard in Hull in February 1967. ©Neville Simms/Ranwell Collection/Rail Photoprints
