Stanier 'Black 5' No.45126 of Kingmoor Depot and 46123 '''Royal Irish Fuslier' at Carlisle Upperby, probably in early 1963. 46123 was stored at Upperby from October 1962 until March 1963, then towed to Crewe Works for cutting up, which took place during April 1963. The 'dummy' overhead catenary for gauging and training purposes is noteworthy. The pot of yellow paint for applying yellow cab stripes probbaly wasn't far away! ©Gordon Edgar collection
