Vale of Rheidol 2-6-2T 9 'Prince of Wales' inside the former Standard guage shed at Aberystwyth, 15/7/84. This loco is believed to have been built at Swindon in 1923, it was originally numbered 1213 (supposedly to fool the accountants), the earlier 1213 having been disposed of, it was re-numbered to No 9 in 1946 and named in 1956. © John Chalcraft/Rail Photoprints
