Between 1885 and 1908 both Drummond and McIntosh designed class ‘0F’ 0-4-0ST ‘Pugs’ which were built at St.Rollox Works for dockyard and sharp curvature siding work In order to carry extra coal supplies many of the class were coupled to 4 wheel wooden tender/trucks. In 1948 14 of these diminutive engines came into BR ownership.
