BR Crosti boilered 9F 2-10-0 No 92027 seen at Warrington. 10 of these locos were built a Crewe and put to service in 1955, unfotunately they were not a success and the Crosti boiler was modified for conventional working in the late 50's early 60's, the locos then worked alongside orthodox 9F's until withdrawn under the modernisation plan, 6/67. ©Keith Langston Collection/Rail Photoprints
