CP Henschel built inside cylinder 4-6-0 No. 285 at Régua after arriving from Barca d'Alva with a train for Porto. The steam engine was replaced by a diesel for the remainder of the trip to Porto. These 4-6-0's were known as "B12's" to British enthusiasts due to their resemblance to the Great Eastern
