Manor 4-6-0 7819 'Hinton Manor' backs down onto its train the 09.30 Paddington- Plymouth (which it will work with King Class 6000 as far as Plymouth), well that was the plan, in reality the King failed with a Hot Box at Taunton, 7819 then carried on but assisted at the rear by 2 x Class 37's, sadly the high speed run over Whiteball proved too much for the Manor which succumbed to another Hot Box at Exeter, 7/4/85. ©John Chalcraft/Rail Photoprints
