A 3 coach Class 104 unit leaves Millers Dale with the Buxton shuttle, a connecting service between the Midland Main Line and the Derbyshire Town. This connection was severed when the Beeching Axe fell on the Midland Line in 1967, severing the (almost) direct link between Buxton and Derby/London.
