Built in 1905 2221 was the first member of the 2221 Class 4-4-2T's which were primarily used on ouiter London suburban services from Paddington, in the 1930's they were made redundant by the arrival of the 61xx 2-6-2T's and all of the 2221 Class were withdrawn by 12/34. 2221 is seen at Reading in shortly before its withdrawal in 1933. ©Rail Photoprints Collection
