LMS 7051 an 0-6-0 DM shunter of 150HP built by Hunslet of Leeds, the loco spent numerous short time periods at a large number of locations (including some Industrial), it spent 10 months with the War Department as WD27 before it was returned to LMS at Chester in 6/41, after a period in Derby Works it was once again taken by the WD in 8/44 and returned to Chester in 6/45, in early 1946 it was sold back to Hunslets for use as their Works shunter, in 1960 it was handed over to the Middleton Railway Trust and named 'John Alcock' on 27/1/61, it went to the NRM on loanin 1/79 and was returned to the Middleton Railway 1989, it then went to The Midland Railway TRustwhere it suffered a major failure, however the loco was fitted with a replacement engine and returned to Middleton where it remains.
