The scrap line at BREL Derby on a snow covered 15th February 1984 contained the rather sorry looking hulks of class 40s Nos.40132, 40163 and 40075 and 'Peak' 45045 'Coldstream Guardsman'. The class 40s were eventually tripped to Vic Berry's Leicester yard for scrap in January 1987 and the 'Peak' met its fate there during the previous October 1986. ©www.railphotoprints.co.uk - Gordon Edgar
