40093 is belching out fumes in the rain at Motherwell TMD on 23rd October 1983. 40093 was withdrawn from service by the December and cut up at BREL Doncaster Works during the following May. 37125 is seen behind in the former steam shed building, by now re-roofed and illuminated but still possessing some of its wonderful atmosphere from the steam age. ©Gordon Edgar/Railphotoprints.co.uk
