Class 40 40122 (D200) was given a wash and brush up for special duties in early 1988, but, unfortunately maintenance overran and the locos first booked special working found it still in undercoat but with yellow warning panel, it is seen coupled to 'Ethel 97252' prior to backing down to Euston to take-over Pathfinder's 'Pennine Forty Farewell' railtour, 12/3/88. ©John Chalcraft/www.railphotoprints.co.uk
