Class 31/1 D5655 leaves Bulwell Common as it heads a local service north on GC/GN metals before joining GN tracks at Moorbridge Junction, 8/62. The loco was the first of 15 Brush 2's (D5655 - D5669) that were introduced with an uprated 1600HP Mirrlees JVS12T engine but this was derated in 1965, but all locos were eventually re-engined with the 1470HP EE 12 SVT engine. ©Dave Swale/Rail Photoprints
