Class 37 37262 'Dounreay' drops off two Oil tanks at the Invergordon Distillery, note the former Sherry casks stacked alongside the siding, shipped in by rail these casks will be used during the ageing process of the Whisky, during this process the whisky will gain some of its colour from the inside of the Sherry casks. Sadly the final product will leave by road, 24/3/88. At the time of the photograph Hawker-Siddeley was the majority shareholder of the Invergordon Distillery, it was later sold on to Whyte and Mackay, who are now owned by a conglomerate based in the Phillipines. ©John Chalcraft/Rail Photoprints
